Tiffany earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Emory University in 2004 and her master’s degree in Psychology from Claremont Graduate University with an emphasis on Organizational Behavior and Program Evaluation in 2006.
Tiffany explored various fields and roles after completing graduate school, including Recruiting, Consulting, Marketing, Event Planning, and Education but nothing felt “right” until she accepted her first position in addiction treatment when she knew she had finally found her calling.
Tiffany’s first position in the addiction treatment field was as Director of Operations in a large non-profit program funded by a combination of county contracts and private insurance. This position exposed her to the ins and outs of the admissions and insurance billing processes as well as facility operations and leadership.
Tiffany’s next addiction treatment jobs were in luxury treatment facilities and all included management of admissions, sales & marketing, business strategy, operations and insurance billing.
Tiffany realized there was a gap between what she would consider to be effective treatment practices in luxury substance abuse treatment facilities and correlated this gap with the profit-driven philosophy she was exposed to on the “business” side of addiction treatment, behind the scenes.
Tiffany was increasingly sure it was important for her to create an ethically and morally-oriented, consciousness-driven substance abuse treatment program model. She saw a need for this model as a change to the old treatment paradigm that she could see was not really working effectively. She believes that providing ethically-driven services in a luxury treatment environment is a win for everyone involved- clients and stakeholders alike.
Tiffany started visioning on the creation of a clinically-based, ethically oriented treatment facility, and Wellness Retreat Recovery Center is the culmination of this vision.
Tiffany is a passionate proponent of personalized addiction treatment. In Tiffany’s words: “We decided to open here in Silicon Valley because the area was lacking a truly luxurious treatment center with client-focused, individualized care. There are many ways people get sober for life- whether they choose to work a 12-Step Program or not. A good addiction treatment program should offer many paths to sobriety because putting people in ‘a box’ never works. We respect our clients and thus offer myriad paths to successful sobriety. We’ve created a top-notch program- from our stunning estate to our client-centered approach. Every detail has been meticulously designed to support our clients and offer them the best opportunity for health and happiness.”
Tiffany loves spending time with her husband and step-son, her giant extended family, and her dog Gracie. She is a passionate traveler, consciousness-seeker and voracious reader. Tiffany is immensely grateful for the opportunity to help individuals and families struggling with addiction as the leader of the Wellness Retreat Recovery Center Team.
