Robin Fox is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and owner of Fox Recovery Method, which exists to help people with addiction in a unique and healthy environment that combines addiction treatment with physical fitness. Fox Recovery Method partners with drug and alcohol treatment centers like Wellness Retreat Recovery Center to effectively implement strength training into addiction treatment settings to bridge the gap between addiction and exercise.
Helping people get fit and find healing through addiction issues while promoting the emotional, relational, and spiritual potential of all individuals struggling with addiction. Robin also has a private addiction counseling practice where she uses techniques inspired by Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, 12-Step Counseling, and Motivational Interviewing. She has a Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology from California Southern University and has been graced with the opportunity to work with a diverse population of clients ranging from those on probation and parole re-integrating into the community post-incarceration, to older adults, competitive athletes, and others impacted by addiction.
She has worked in various settings including residential drug and alcohol treatment centers, detox centers, and outpatient mental health. She is studying to become a Clinical Psychologist to specialize in working with both athletes and felons battling addiction, and hopes to one day open an outpatient holistic facility that exists to bridge the gap between physical fitness, exercise science, and addiction. Her hobbies include a daily Bikram Yoga practice, powerlifting, CrossFit, and competitive sports.
